Sign in to OpenAI Platform
Use your OpenAI account to open the API Platform. Your ChatGPT subscription and OpenAI API billing are separate.
Connect your OpenAI API key
SAY. uses your personal OpenAI API key for AI-powered training and review. You only need to set it up once.
Create a key with OpenAI, paste it into SAY., save it, and confirm that Settings shows you are connected.
Create a new secret key
On the API Keys page, create a new secret key. OpenAI shows the full secret when it is created, so copy it before closing the window.
Open SAY. Settings
In SAY., tap the gear icon and find the OpenAI API Key field.
Paste and save
Paste your key and tap Save Key. SAY. stores the saved key in your iPhone’s secure storage and hides the full value after setup.
Confirm the connection
When Settings shows Connected, return to SAY. and try SAY Mirror or Language Training. If it does not connect, confirm the key is active and your OpenAI API account has billing or available credits.
Important about billingBuying SAY. does not include OpenAI API usage. OpenAI bills API usage separately from ChatGPT and separately from your SAY. purchase.
Keep your key private
- Do not email, text, post, or share your API key with anyone.
- Create a dedicated key for SAY. so it is easier to monitor or replace.
- Review your OpenAI API usage and spending limits.
- If you think a key was exposed, delete or rotate it in your OpenAI API dashboard and save the new key in SAY.
